Spirit Line Gear began in 1992 creating high performance gear that was not available anywhere on the market. Being avid kayakers and sea kayak guides we understand the extreme importance of high quality equipment. We field-test our equipment on a daily basis, striving for easy to use and robust devices you can count on. We use only the best urethane coated nylon. Besides our light weight air holding devices, we have been engineering other fine products for the kayak trade. All of our products are made in-house one at a time, in Washington State. We are now offering hard to find skin and coating material skin on frame boats.

Unfinished Textiles

We are proud to offer you hard to find industrial products for all your skin on frame boat needs. Our kayak skin and coating systems have been tried and tested in our school for over 16 years on over a 1,200 skin boats, also we now have several online step by step video tutorials showing clearly different sewing methods as well as the urethane application process. We will be adding and updating continuously to the collection. All this information comes to you with no charge, and we encourage you to comment and make suggestions to what you would like to see in the future. Phone support is also available 7 days a week.

Floatation/ Storage Bags and Paddle Rescue Floats

Over the years we have been designing, manufacturing, and supplying  air holding safety/storage and rescue devices for the kayak trade. We are now offering these same products directly to you. We will also build for you any custom size floatation or dry bag you want, using the best urethane coated nylon available. You will find only full 1/2 welds on all our products. Please do not let the light weight fool you, with over 3,000 bags sold now we have had less then 5 returned for service, and not a single one in over 3 years.

Finished Textiles

For your connivence, we are keeping the skin boat store as small and fast to work as possible. For this reason, not all the products we offer are listed. We have many A quality, extremely hard to find finished textiles. Flame resistant tent cloth, 1250 senior ballistic nylon, sail cloth, air holding urethane coated nylon, and kite cloth are just a few.
